Heavy Trooper Sword

Created between 1816 and 1822, the Heavy Trooper Sword is now used by the Garde Républicaine. Unlike the 1822 light cavalry model, it features a distinct blade that’s neither straight nor fully curved, earning the nickname “Bancal.” This 1833 version comes with a black-painted steel scabbard, likely used by dragon troops, reflecting its unique historical evolution.
