Sutton Hoo Helmet
Discovered in a renowned ship-burial at Sutton Hoo in East Anglia, this helmet, along with the famous Great Gold Buckle, highlights exceptional Anglo-Saxon craftsmanship from the 7th century. The well-preserved artefacts, unearthed in 1939, suggest the helmet belonged to an Anglo-Saxon ruler. It bears similarities to early medieval Germanic helmets found in Vendel and Valsgärde, Sweden.
