Yetholm-type Late Bronze Age Shield
The Yetholm-type shield, dating from 1300-800 BC, is a unique Bronze Age artifact. Originating primarily from Britain and Ireland, with one found in Denmark, these shields are named after Yetholm in Scotland, where three were discovered in a peat bog. Only twenty-two examples exist today, although some are fragmentary. Notably, rock carvings from Southern Scandinavia depict shields with concentric rings, closely resembling Yetholm-type shields.
